Emma Gillard first put out a call for anyone interested in helping with a Pantomime in Hickling in April 2015. After cast and crew had been selected, read throughs began in late June and the first rehersals started at the end of August. Most of the cast had virtually no experience of stage work but with Emma's expert knowledge, guidance, coaching and encouragement she formed an outstanding and dedicated company. Following a fund raising event hosted by The Pleasure Boat Inn enough money was raised to ensure that the Pantomime would go ahead. Four performances were held from 21st - 23rd January 2016 all of which sold out. The money raised from ticket sales has been given to the following charities: Macmillan Cancer Support- £500, St. Mary's Church Hickling - £500 and Hickling Barn Charity - £1200.
We are grateful to the following for their help in making Cinderella a reality.
We would like to thank the Trustees and Management Committee of the Hickling Playing Field Or Recreation Ground Charity for allowing Cinderella The Pantomime to be held at Hickling Barn. The service provided by the team at the "Front of House" was outstanding and was a major contributing factor to the success of our production.
